This is the whisper box, named for how the lid gently slides down over the bottom. Watch it in the video. It's fun little ring box, but it's also perfect for the small mementos that we pick up along the way. The basswood box bottom sits atop a walnut plinth, and there are three wood choices for the top: hemlock, bleached ash, and cherry. There also are three styles of grasps for your fingers: round, square with rounded corners, and a bar that runs around all four sides. All are lined with fabric.
