Huon Pine grows only on the island of Tasmania. It's beauty is undeniable. The Huon used to make this box has a subtle figure and chatoyance, glimmering just enough to capture your eye but not dominate the box. The box is sized to hold rings, perhaps your wedding ring when you take it off to shower, mow the yard, mix some dough, or work in the shop (all of which I do). The cocobolo dots highlight the front, and the interior is lined with a deep red fabric adorned with tiny dragonflies (imported from Japan).
